Thought I was not going to love it thinking I was struggling to keep up with the characters. I know them all now and they feel like family. Such an amazing story.
Written in epistolary fashion – the entire book is letters and emails, and what do we do in letters but reflect? So it reads like a series of monologues, with a paucity of action. The protagonist is self centered, sort of rude, critical of herself and others, and you do cry at the very end..
Ending was not very satisfying for me. Although it wrapped everything up I wanted her to know how beautiful she was. A life well lived.
Loved everything about this book. Beautifully written and the narrators were wonderful. It’s a must listen for all.
This was a book club book. I at first was not sure how I felt about the book. But as the book progressed I became to know Sybil in a different light. To grieve the loss of a child changes, a person. The scream inside is behind everything they do and every decision they make..
I loved the delicate interwoven storyline. The characters were vibrant and yet real. Truly, a very enjoyable listen
What a lovely book. The characters were realistic and the audio brought the characters to life. Highly recommend!
Well worth the purchase. I can usually predict what happens in the books, but not this one and the narrators did a great job
Excellent audible book. The readers made the story come alive!Letter writing is a lost art and this book was most enjoyable!
Loved the book, narration was beautifully done! It makes me want to have people to correspond with. The vulnerability of every character through words on stationary (and sometimes email) is precious.
