A heartfelt telling of a life from the different perspectives of time in that life. It touched me deeply.
I liked the use of letters to tell the story. Power in the tragic moments of our lives and how they change us. Beauty of family and connection!
Loved the story and the way it was told through Cybil’s lifelong letters! I combined reading and listening to this book. The narration was wonderful and added so much to the story. One of the few books that has evoked such emotion that I actually cried!
Spoke to me in myriad ways and touched me deeply! Outstanding narration! Thank you to the author and cast.
I enjoyed this book. The main character was a little annoying here and there, but overall it was a really good story. Was engaged from the beginning.
The structure of the story was very awkward. The main character was unlikable and unremarkable. All of the characters for me lacked depth and complexity.
This is an epistolary novel and it was just wonderful! I found myself arguing with people who wrote to her at times and I would love to have a best friend like Cybil. She’s real, stubborn and cantankerous and ultimately honest and learns to embrace life after tragedy and loss. Theodore was adorable and I..
