Though at first leery of the format, I soon found myself totally immersed in Sybil’s story. And the format works. As the story gradually unfolds, I both wanted to hurry to the next letter and to slowly savor each.

I listened on audiobook and holy crap was it great! Starts a little slow but as soon as you are drawn in, you won’t stop until it ends. What a wonderful, flawed, and lovable protagonist whose letters will move you immensely. One of my favorite books of 2025.
