All of the readers were excellent! I would think you would get so much more out is the audio book.
A Must Listen to Book
Review from The Correspondent →
This is my first ever book review. Such a wonderful story. So unique and beautiful. Sad when it was over!
I am so grateful I decided to listen to The Correspondent! Each letter writer was unique and after a while I could recognize each one by the voice and accent. Oh, how meaningful it was to hear the emotion in Sybil’s voice primarily – but in all of the others, too.
Wow. It has been a very long time since a book has me feel sad that it was ending. I felt very connected to the main character, as if she was my friend. The story is beautiful and profound. I really didn’t want to end.
Wonderfully written! I could feel every word and emotion. I felt the highs and lows and the mixed emotions.
The author constructs the story thru letters. Each correspondent has its own reader. All are terrific especially the main character, Sybil. I cannot recall a book where the reader captured the the main character so perfectly. This is a special book. Absorb the rhythm of the correspondence. Highly recommended.
I didn’t think I would like the whole premise of a book written as letters. Well, lesson learned…. This was fascinating, fresh, heartbreaking & heartwarming & I’m so glad to have read it…. It’s a must read & hopefully reminds us all that reflection & connections take time & is always worth it.
