I did not enjoy the “letter-writing” form of the book. Perhaps if I could have made my way through more of the letters, I would have enjoyed it more. To me…not worth the use of my one credit.

This might have been my favorite narrator. This is a beautiful book. At first i was not sure if I would like the style of telling the story through sybil’s correspondence but I loved it really touching. Makes me want to write a letter.
The first few “chapters” I wasn’t sure of this was going to be my cup of tea BUT… Oh I’m so glad I kept listening!! What a unique way of telling a story but now I can’t imagine this story being told any other way! I love to write letters and receive letters. My mother..
A very stubborn Bryn Mawr graduate who meticulously dots the i s and crosses the t s of her relationships by letter writing . Beguiling and touching, as she writes, she uncovers her feelings and shucks off her defenses. And we all grow and learn. 💕💕💕
Besides the outstanding audio performances, the story line was interesting in ways that many novels lack. Loved the first person reading of each letter or email. Having an older parent, and aging myself,I could relate to some of the trials of aging. Complex relationships and discovering how the past affects the present is a common..
I loved it all…Beautifully written and well performed! Definitely worth the read! I was touched in so many ways!
