A beautifully written novel which follows the advanced years of a woman who has experienced many tragedies in her life but manages to build a new life through her correspondence with others.

I loved her continued writing during her later years. Her honesty and thoughtful approach, her ability to tell the stories by pen.

I want to write more letters, I’m the worst! I’m going to try to make it a resolution! Whether New Year’s or lent, it just should be done! Thank you!

I enjoyed this book very much. The author was amazing in how she developed each character and brought emotion into the story .

Beautifully told life story through correspondence, which was much easier to follow in audio than I thought it would be; a credit much to the readers. We all have secrets (“stones”) that follow us through life, with our own ways of coping, which I felt made this book so very relatable.
