I loved this book. It reminded me of my grandmother and all the letters she wrote. What a lost art. I wish I could reread the letters she wrote to me and it made me want to write so many letters of my own to say things to people I have hurt or who have..
I could picture each character through their voice. I laughed, gasped, and sobbed. It’s a beautiful story told through letters – and it’s going to stay with me. I wish I had slowed down – I wish it weren’t over.
Great story. Great narration. Loved it all. Resisted for a long time; correspondence only? Don’t hesitate; it is so worth a credit!!
This book moved me to tears, what a beautiful story. This book has to be on the top of my favorite reads!
Good story line but a little long – some of the middle could be pulled out without changing the story. It kept my interest until the end though.
First of all, the way the story is told through letters is so unique – I loved it. I also love how the book displays how deeply complex humans are. Absolutely worth the listen! Keep tissues nearby…
Beautiful story of love, grief and the complexity of the human experience. I loved the performance of the main narrator, she brought so much humor to the character. Plus, I’m from Maryland, so it was neat hearing references to my local stomping grounds.
