Felt like a teenager’s attempt at writing a ZA story after watching TWD. Wrote about things with little knowledge, i.e. “assault rifle” and bike coils.
There is not one likeable character in this story. The dialogue is laughable, the villain might as well be a box of cereal and the end couldn’t come fast enough. I figured with all the good reviews this was a must read, well I only finished it just to say I read it completely. Thank..
Im not convinced that I listened to the same books as most of the other reviewers. I’m assuming the author is from Britland. The story is set in Canada and the USA, where people speak differently than those in England. It’s as though she’d never heard a Canadian or an American speak. Or anyone, really…
Enjoyed the story. Narrator is painfully slow and has weird inflections. Had to listen at 1.2x speed just to have a normal pace.

I appreciate this series because the books aren’t short. The author has also made the series and the one before it – free. Which means- days worth of entertainment. Thank you for that!!
The story is very predictable and tragedy for sake of tragedy. The only good part is the conversation of the two older fighters that we’ve been waiting for the whole book
This one is mostly filler. And when he fights monsters it’s so boring. Everyone wants to drag their story out and they turn to crap
