This book is when i finally started to feel invested in the story. The attitude of the main character still annoys me and i can’t tell you how many times I’ve wished i could punch him in his insecure, unevolved face – but hey.

These books are tiresome, if you like to read about a guy talking to himself constantly, repeating everything over and over , Spencer is just Ben from dark road series, if you can listen to this and don’t constantly speed up 15 seconds every time he starts rehashing , congratulations

Difficult to listen to

This was hard, the narration is stiff, almost sounds like AI. The emphasis on proper enunciation kept pulling me out of the Story because Noone speaks like that. The story seemed rushed, 2 mentions of South Korea and then an EMP. Just not believable. Try “One Second After” by William R. Forstchen, that will change..

The story line was good, if a bit predictable.The narrator does not seem to have ever met a teenager or have any idea how they inflect or anything about cadence. It was like listening to a poorly acted high school play. The telling of the story should have enhanced it, but it detracted from it.
