I actually really like Bentley Little, but this was the worst i have read/listened to by far.
Fantastic Narrator – Terrible Story
Review from The Mailman →
this was a fascinating tale of test pilots, WWII, Vietnam war and NASA. I loved the first hand account.
I found Marx’s critique of the worker rebellion prescient & inspiring. In hindsight, a picture of the high point in the modern history of France.
awesome creature feature, book really plays like a classic horror movie you would like to keep going.
It is political philosophy plus moral philosophy. Should be more relavant and manageable. Enough said.
Some of the dialog was childish but mostly I didn’t give a shit about any of the main characters. Great story, very cool world just not if you want to root for the main character.
Each of these stories is disquieting and so full of dread. You begin each tale thinking maybe this one will be just scary, but as progress you can feel your stomach twist and your hope dissipate. Dark tendrils reach out from the vast emptiness of possibility and wrap around your head forcing your eyes open…
The narration is good. No goofball voices, no glaring errors, nothing to take you out of the story. Yeoman’s work. The story is pretty good. The bad guy is like a comic book villain…he’s like super bad, no nuance at all. The MC is a bit more interesting, he’s good, but willing to do some..
It’s wonderful when the historian is also a very good writer. It’s a pity that so many historians don’t know how to right. Academic speaking I think that this book also encapsulated the main body and soul of the revolution, and also the l’air du temps. Very Good*****
