This man’s memoir is better than the movies. Talk about grit. Great stories and story telling. I really enjoyed listening to Glennis’s perspective and experiences as well. My only complaint is sometimes they blow past the details of some very wild stories. Otherwise an adventure to read/listen to

A masterwork of fiction (not praise I usually give out), brought to evocative life by a narrator at the top of his game. This novel is more than a little unusual in its construction but if you enjoy Cthulhu Mythos short story collections this is definitely worth a listen.

In the foreword, the author says that there’s some language, and says nothing too over the top. This is a gross understatement. I was expecting “lowercase” cursing. While there’s plenty of that, there are also frequent f-bombs, and constant use of “god’s be damned”. It seriously detracts from the story, the excuses that it fits..
