I really wanted to like this, I’m a big fan of unsettling horror and I think when Mr. Little goes for unsettling he does it well. Although not quite as immersive as Chaos Seeds, I REALLY liked the perspective shift offered in Awaken Online! Narration is pretty good, but he’s no Nick Podehl or Ray Porter. I still thoroughly enjoyed this book, and plan to continue the series & side-quests.
This was my second read in the LitRPG genre and it was easily the better of the two books. I love the dark hero and wonderfully seamless ushering into Book 2.
