This story reminds me of Stephen Kings IT. Was entertaining though. Is an easy listen.
Enjoyable
Review from The Narrows →
If ever there were a concept that could describe so many of us here on planet Earth; it would be that people feel ignored. What Bentley does here is just phenomenal.
Poyer knows how to tell a story, and this, his third book, is one of the best. The descriptions of the ship, the crew, and the sailing conditions are all very realistic. Very well done.
Great narration as usual! My only complaint about the overall story is that some parts seemed a bit rushed. Overall a good listen/read though
cookie cutter attempt of being in a digital fantasy landscape while regurgitating character attributes
the story really drew you into it and was really well put together. it is a book I will listen to again
Obviously a difficult part of our nations history, but the book focuses only on racism. Very little history outside of that aspect.
The story seems written by a middle schooler with the expected angst and frustration of the age. Everything is predictable and over the top, especially his unprecedented rate of advancement and power gains (even if provided by a god). Even the narrator sounds comically fitting of the “depth” of the storyline. I’m astounded this is..
