I am a Carlton Stowers fan. I don’t blame him for my disappointment but I am surprised that the story was so pedestrian. It was also a very short book. I found it disappointing all around.
While I have enjoyed this series very much, the audio brings to life and adds depth to already deep characters, even the AI is growing and changing. Adds a few twists and turns and now a new [spoiler] and this just keeps better and better!

Fast paced, I love how this book doesn’t spend too much time on character introductions. The book introduces the character through their actions in combat and you know who they are by name better. One of my new favorite Gettysburg books. It has changed the way I perceive July 2nd and opened my eyes to what was the reality on the ground muddied by the memories of those who told the story. Definitely recommended reading for anyone looking for answers to the countermarch and the events of that day.
