I wouldn’t call this a page turner. It’s especially hard to enjoy coming off of a weeks long jaunt with Dungeon Crawler Carl. The story was unique, but lacked excitement. The novel concludes to no fanfare. It’s just another story, but not interesting enough, in my opinion, to continue on to book 2.
I’ve been so absorbed in this series. Finished this audio book in 2 days. The audio recordings seem to be getting better every book.

I just don’t know how Matt creates all these events and characters and beautifully makes a coherent, fun and heart-felt story out of it. Another 5-star book for Dinniman.
My review of Book One was less than stellar. I stand by the central point that this series is basically fluff. No, it’s actual fluff.
