I found it hard, at first, to follow the format of the story done by means of letter, but soon got caught up in the tale and realized that it was a very clever way of writing,
I found this audible book to be a quiet, pleasant, calming distraction from the icy storm, weather, and other wise. I loved the writing style, voices, and subject matter. As a Marylander I enjoyed the references to the various locations. I gifted the audible to my sister and we separately enjoyed it together.
I loved the performances of those who read the parts. It was acting as its most moving and evocative. I loved the different voices and accents. It felt so real, it felt as if they were speaking to each other. The writing was excellent. I was so moved by the author’s descriptions of the characters’..
This book reminds me how extraordinary ordinary daily like truly is and to find deep contentment in every day.
The book started out a little slow but developed into really beautiful story about life. At the I found myself crying…
I wasn’t sure initially when I started listening but ended up loving the book. Cybil was an amazing woman, flawed and complex. Great characters and such an emotional ending.
