Beautifully told story that reminds us of the importance of the written word and letter writing.

I’ve never read a book like this. Told through correspondence, we learn about the protagonist’s life including a fatal lack of judgment. It was an extraordinary read.

I’m a voracious reader but mostly of non fiction so I pick my fiction carefully. This book seemed to receive accolades everywhere I turned…but 1/2 way in I’ve decided to shelf it as DNF. Capacity to create truly believable and mostly very likable characters. More character driven than story driven and that is its beauty. You get to feel like you truly know the people. I loved it
