Beautifully written, perfectly narrated, wonderful book. Wasn’t crazy about the ending. But it didn’t matter – still a great read for anyone becoming introspective about their later years.

Interesting concept. I think this book is much more enjoyable to listen to than to read? A few flubs (college of English). She’s a little too edgy in some spots but overall an interesting character.

The style of writing was tedious based on having to have the author, recipients, & date of each letter read.

An almost unlikable protagonist, a story told only through letters, and the transformation of a life at the end of a lifetime. Highly recommend.

I wasn’t sure as I began this book if I would enjoy it, but I found the epistolary approach to be a wonderful way to witness the character’s evolution.

Narrators amazing, great read in brilliant format, Epistolary genre revived since 19th century works I read in college and graduate school. Highly recommend.

When I started this book consisting of seemingly random letters being written by an older woman (close to my age), I wasn’t sure if there was a point. But as the years passed and the letters to and from Sybil began to weave themselves together, I was completely drawn in. Excellent!

Wonderful book! The character development was excellent and I enjoyed how the story evolved through the letter writing. Excellent narration!
