As with all of the works in this series, I find myself utterly enchanted and drawn in as the world, the characters, and so much more are steadily revealed, and in a manner that makes me internally scream for more. I can hardly wait to get my mitts on the next in this series!
Excellent continuation and merger of the parallel pre-stories of Jason and Finn. It definitely was with a twisted start, that had me headscratching đ
This book is a thoughtful answer to a simple question: what if the Deus Ex Machina storytelling fallacy could be explained by more than a “karmic luck” stat? The result is well-paced, interesting, and sometimes even laugh-out-loud funny. (Don’t skip it.)
Long, rambling intro with constant reference to upcoming material. Footnotes with abbreviations were not self explanatory and destroyed my focus. The narrator is somnalent. 4 hours in I gave up. There are some good things on Audible +, but for me this was an Audible-.
