The book was mediocre. I kept thinking that something huge was gonna happen but I was a little let down. Also the ending leaves you hanging not knowing what the future had in store for the family. Im wondering was it all in his mind or where these things really happening?
Absolutely loved the new installation of this series. A completely different scenario, to keep the adventure fresh. Definitely can’t wait for the next book, and my process of rereading this book to keep myself fresh and up to date for that novel. Real question with Jason’s staff installation to his Lich body. Multiple readers make it feel like those involved are telling the story. Yeager reader gets the accent and pulls you into the story, which was even more interesting than expected. Colorful language makes it fun.
It might seem a minor problem, but when a story teller necessarily adopts the voice of an expert historian by taking on the important role of his reader, he mispronounces well-known names to the detriment of the reader’s trust in the book. This is more of loosely connected collection of short stories than a continuous coherent narrative.
