Massive fan of DCC and of Baldrees Legends & Lattes series, so I was dripping with anticipation at this mashup. The story, world building, overall plot, just absolutely spectacular. A change of pace, fun listen. My first adventure in the LitRPG world, but most likely not my last.
Matt’s work is usually a statement on the condition of society and culture, but this book takes it to a new level in such an astute manner that I really think it should be a must read for the entire US population. It’s also a hilariously fun and crude war story that anyone could enjoy.
I loved Ellie the most in this book. She was a really funny character. This whole series so far has been surprising, funny, and very entertaining.
The performance was top notch, but this third installment was confusing to follow. Regardless, it was a fun experience.
the voice acting adds a whole new level to this insane series.
