Not my favorite VS Andrews.. Figuring out the characters when time went back and forth was confusing for me and I had to re listen. I couldn’t really get hooked by the protagonist. I disliked her and many of the other characters. It was difficult for me with many names and political parties and their..
This is like listening to a very bad version of a brilliant Vera novel. Its even set in Cumbria. So many cliches I lost count.
Whilst I can see that this may be a good detective series, I’m afraid I won’t be listening to another one as I found the narration style quite irritating. I found the different accents of the characters to be quite weak. There was one character in the book who was supposed to have a Glaswegian..

The narrator’s voice is to soft. It is like a grandma reading Christmas stories for her grand kids. It was very distracting at first.
